We are saddened to share the update below from Danielle and the Lentz family. Please consider supporting their ongoing financial needs with outstanding medical bills from Jaxon's years long fight as well as an upcoming celebration of life.

A message from the Lentz Family:

It is with heavy hearts that we share Jaxon was called home to our Lord and Savior on Monday, September 15, 2025.

After being admitted to Seattle Children’s PICU over Labor Day weekend due to a worsening pericardial effusion and a new pleural effusion of his right lung, Jax bravely pushed through pain, countless tests, and several procedures to alleviate the fluids rapidly accumulating in his chest. Jaxon masked so much pain and suffering over the years that we had no idea how serious his condition was or that these would be our last weeks together. Even in his critical state, Jax chose to complete another course of chemotherapy because he refused to surrender to cancer. We believed he was stable and on a path to coming home this week; however, things took a sudden turn on Sunday and he didn’t recover. Jaxon was remarkably strong, but his body could no longer sustain the fight.

Jaxon faced his cancer battle with radical faith, hope, strength, and grace. He never wavered in his mission to keep fighting for more time with us. Jaxon wasn’t ready to go, but he left us knowing that we never gave up and that he was so very loved. It was my greatest honor to be his mother and walk this journey with him. Kris and I, along with Mai Mai and Grey, were grateful to be by his side during his final moments. Finley was also given special permission to come to the hospital so Jax could cuddle his beloved pup one last time. Our hearts were not prepared for this deeply profound loss, but we take comfort knowing Jax is finally healed, at peace, and with Jesus. We also carry the hope that we will see him again.

We know Jaxon touched the lives of many, and we are heartbroken to share this news with you in this way. Our family is taking some time to privately grieve and make arrangements for Jaxon. We want to celebrate his life and legacy in a way that is meaningful for those who loved him, and we will share details of his memorial when the time comes.

From the depths of our hearts, thank you for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time for our family.

In the fall of 2021, our dear friend Jaxon was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a journey that has since taken him and his family through countless challenges, including two recurrences. Despite the battles they face every day, Danielle and Kris remain unwavering in their pursuit of the best care and treatment for Jaxon. We can help lighten their burden by fundraising to cover some of the overwhelming out-of-pocket expenses that accompany this fight.
Let’s rally together to show Jax and his family the love and support they deserve. Swords up for Jax!
