We Are Jaxon Strong
Donation protected
Jaxon hasn’t had the most easiest childhood, but he sure is a fighter. We have finally come up with a “fix”. After multiple tests, imaging, bloodwork, surgeries and doctors visits, we have set up his surgery for September 23! They are doing a small bladder reconstruction, along with closing his “built in cath” which is called a vesicostomy. Surgery will take about 4-6 hours and recovery will be rough on all of us. We are going to have to cath him in the meantime for about 3 weeks so he doesn’t get another UTI. After 3 weeks he will have multiple tests done on his bladder to see if it’s responded to surgery. If not, then there will be another surgery which will result in removing his right kidney and setting up a permanent cath to his right side, which we will have to drain every 3 hours for the rest of his life. I have cried, I have blamed god, but now I’m somewhat at peace because this is the only solution to his health. As Jaxons mom, our family is asking for donations to help with any medical and home expenses while I’m out of work for his upcoming surgery. My PTO for work doesn’t cover my time of leave and we still have a family to support. Not sure how long I will be out with him since his case is so unusual and rare. For right now I’ll be out for 4 weeks with him, if not longer. This is going to be our new normal and we all as a family have to get used to this for our little guy. If you can’t donate, then please just support us and pray for us. Jaxon is a trooper and I know we will make it through this bump in the road to giving him a healthy life.
