In Memory of Francisco Javier Candelas (1952-2024)
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved father, Francisco Javier Candelas, who left us on July 7, 2024, at 7 pm. He battled a stage 4 wound , And while at hospital that did not have WoundCare Unit , he developed a blood infection and bone infection from that unattended wound and passed of septic shock. He was fighting for his right to live and get better and a small bedsore became a large wound
From lack of care from negligence and lack of medical treatment from the start. We are asking for help, help in legal fees and other matters , as we wish to bring attention to this cause , that no one should have to suffer this pain.
Javier, a dedicated member of the US Army in the 1970s, devoted his life to his family after his service, leaving behind four children and a cherished dog.
Javier was a remarkable individual, known for his intelligence, kindness, and unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His legacy of service and compassion continues to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we prepare to lay our dear father to rest, we face some unexpected financial challenges. The Veterans Affairs (VA) has limited their support to a tombstone, leaving us with the burden of covering the remaining funeral expenses. Our father always expressed his wish to be buried in the peaceful cemetery of Zaragoza, Texas, next to his parents, where generations of our family are laid to rest.
We are reaching out to our community, friends, and family for support to honor Javier's final wish. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help us cover the costs of his funeral and ensure that he is laid to rest with the dignity and respect he deserves.
Your generosity will not only help us during this difficult time but also allow us to focus on celebrating Javier's life and legacy. We are deeply grateful for any assistance you can provide.
Thank you for your support and for helping us honor the memory of Francisco Javier Candelas.
