Support Java's Fight for Survival

This little brown bob-tailed bundle showed up on my doorstep last Tuesday (July 30th). My partner went to run an errand around 10pm and when he returned, the kitten was waiting on the porch in front of the door, no momma cat in sight. Talk about being visited by the "Cat Distribution Center".

We took him in and made sure he was bathed, flea-free, and snuggled in a cozy blanket. My boyfriend stayed up all night to make sure he was taken care of, and before we knew it, the kitten had a name. "Java the Blessed". He'd also managed to gain a fan following of friends and coworkers invested in his wellbeing.

We booked the earliest vet visit possible, Saturday morning. The vet looked over little baby Java and stated that he was most likely 4-5 weeks old, severely dehydrated, and needed some major TLC. So with a Banana Bag boost, some medications, and some welcomed advice, we took Java home with high hopes, knowing the odds given his young age.

He seemed to be on the mend over the next two days. He was eager to eat and happy to play with my pups under supervision. However, as of this morning, he began to seem lethargic and didn't really have any interest in his food. Java took a noticeable turn around noon. We knew he needed help beyond our capacity. My boyfriend rushed him to the ER, and I was soon to follow.

He is currently under 24hr watch and they are doing all they can to get him to pull through. The emergency vet said his temp and his glucose was dangerously low. The only thing we can do now is wait and see if he makes it.

I am asking for help with the emergency medical bill. I am currently out of pocket a little over $3,400.00, I don't expect to raise all the funds however any amount you are able and willing to give is greatly appreciated. And I know Java the brown-haired, bob-tailed, blue-eyed kitten with a personality to melt your heart is worth the effort being given. He's a sweetheart of a baby.

This is as of Tuesday (August 6th).
