My name is Jassy, and for over 20 years, I have been a dedicated taxpayer and a proud professional in the finance field. I hold 2 degrees from accredited universities in America. I have always taken pride in my independence, providing for myself and building a career based on integrity and hard work.

Recently, however, I found myself in a situation I never could have prepared for. In December, I began a new role as an accountant. What should have been a great new chapter quickly turned into a nightmare of workplace bullying and hostility.

Despite my best efforts to learn a complex new system independently and push through audit preparations, I was met with consistent shunning and aggressive behavior from my manager. This culminated in a meeting where my professional character was attacked with passive aggressive violent threat.

With the support of HR who witnessed the breakdown of professional conduct—I made the difficult but necessary decision to resign immediately to protect my safety and mental health. No one should be subjected to threats of violence in their place of employment.

Why I am Asking for Help
Since leaving that toxic environment in January, I have been fighting an uphill battle:

Systemic Delays: Despite being a lifelong contributor to the system, my unemployment claim has been stuck in a backlog for two months without a single payment.

Impending Housing Crisis: My savings are nearly exhausted. Without a bridge to cover my rent and basic needs, I am facing the very real possibility of homelessness by May.

The Job Search: I am actively interviewing and doing everything in my power to secure a new role.

How You Can Help
I am raising funds to cover my immediate living expenses (rent, utilities, car, and food) (I qualified for Snap for 3 months) while I finalize my next professional role and wait for the state to process my benefits if I get approved.

Being a single woman with no family support ever, I have always been my own safety net. Today, I am asking for your help to be that net for me just this once. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward keeping a roof over my head while I get back on my feet.

Thank you for reading my story and for your kindness.
