Hello,

My name is Dana, and I am starting this GoFundMe to help my sister Jassel Luna through her battle with cancer.

As many of you already know, my sister has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer. The news shocked our family, and it is something that we are still trying to process and understand. Receiving a life-altering diagnosis like cancer is never easy, but if you know my sister, you can truly understand our shock.

Jassel is a loving wife and devoted mother of three beautiful children: Jael (16), Leon (9) and Natalia (4). My sister values family and health overall, and right now she will be going through the battle of her life for those two reasons. Jassel will be starting chemotherapy treatment next week. Cancer treatments are expensive and although health insurance will cover most medical expenses, there will be many other out-of-pocket expenses that are not covered but are needed for her treatment and recovery.

As they face these difficult days, we want to help ease the burden of everyday costs so that they can focus on what matters most—Jassel’s recovery and health. Her husband Ricky is stepping in and out of work as needed to be by her side and care for their children during this time.
