Jasper is our 7-month-old black kitten, and despite being so young, he’s already facing something no animal — or family — should have to go through.
Jasper suffers from grand mal seizures that happen sporadically and without warning. Some days he’ll have two seizures in a single day, and then he may go weeks without one. There are no known triggers. He’ll seize, recover quickly, and then go right back to being himself — sweet, cuddly, playful, and very hungry self. We’ve done everything we can up to this point. Jasper has been evaluated by veterinarians, had extensive bloodwork and testing done, and many illnesses and diseases have already been ruled out. He is currently on anti-seizure medication, which helps manage the episodes — but it does not tell us why this is happening.
The next and most important step is seeing a veterinary neurologist and getting advanced imaging of his brain.
There is a possibility that Jasper could have:
✨A brain tumor or growth
✨A neurological abnormality
✨Or a very rare case of feline epilepsy
Without imaging, we are treating symptoms instead of the cause.
Unfortunately, neurological diagnostics like MRIs and specialist care are far beyond what we can afford. This fundraiser is truly our last option to get Jasper the answers — and care — he deserves. Without it, the only choice we have is to continue medication and hope we can keep his seizures under control for the rest of his life, without ever knowing what’s happening inside his brain.
The funds raised will go toward:
A veterinary neurologist consultation
Brain imaging (MRI and related diagnostics)
Any necessary treatment, surgery, or long-term care depending on the results
Jasper is just a baby. He loves playing, cuddling, and living life like any other kitten should. We are asking for help so he can have the chance at a healthy, comfortable future — and so we can finally understand what’s causing his seizures.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing Jasper’s story means the world to us. Thank you for reading, caring, and helping us fight for this little life.
