Hi! My name is Jasper and I am a chronically ill disabled college student. I have been looking for work for over a year, and continuously get passed over or ghosted for entry level part time work to at least try to support myself through school. I come from a middle class-lower income background, and currently am fighting hard to get my footing as a disabled adult.
I'm currently trying to pay off my medical debt I had prior to getting on my state's medicaid program, and currently live month to month on food stamps and child support (as a 'child attending school'.)
I am trying to relieve some of my large, overarching financial stress by making a gofundme and reaching out to my community, especially as my chronic pain is driving me to save up for a wheelchair, which is nearly impossible after all of my monthly expenses only receiving 310 a month from child support and only have my rent paid for the months I am actively in school from my education fund, meaning I also need to figure out ~1k for my summer rent unless I go homeless or move back into an unsafe situation.
On top of all this, I recently figured out that the 'pseudoseizures' I've been experiencing since my young childhood are actually Jacksonian/Partial tonic-clonic seizures, and am desperately needing to go through the medical system on top of college to figure out how to treat my currently undiagnosed source of chronic pain, Jacksonian seizures, muscle spasms/weakness, and brain fog, which takes up any remaining energy I have after my disability and college eats it all up that I would otherwise use to work and support myself.
My current laundry list of debts and upcoming bills I need to raise money for:
-Pay off medical debt: ~$800
-Summer rent to not go homeless: $1k
-mobility aid (Considering getting a self propelled wheelchair or saving for an e-bike due to chronic pain transiting and walking to/from everywhere due to being unable to drive) $200-$2000
Currently, as I am in school, I am unable to take on commissions and be able to fulfill them within a timely manner. If you would like to support me and purchase a commission, I will have an updated portfolio available in mid-May. If you donate, reach out to me on the social you find this on! I would love to give you a doodle of your request (Quality dependent on my level of pain, lol.)
