Jason, my brother-in-law, has always been a strong and caring presence in our family. Recently, he faced a life-threatening medical emergency that has changed everything. Jason suffered a severe asthma attack and was rushed to the hospital, where he went into cardiac arrest. He was life flighted to a hospital in Boston and placed in a medically induced coma. During his recovery, the ECMO machine that was supporting him dislodged and caused a hole in his heart, leading to internal bleeding. Jason coded and had to be resuscitated, and the ordeal has left him with ongoing physical challenges.

As Jason continues to fight for his recovery, he has had to put his business on hold. This has created a significant financial strain on him and his family. His paid family medical leave has been exhausted, and the bills are piling up as the days go by. Despite these hardships, Jason remains determined to heal and return to the life he loves, but the road ahead is long and uncertain.
