On November 6, 2025, my 20 yr old Son Jason was stopped at a red light on his motorcycle when he was hit from behind by an SUV. The impact was severe, and Jason was airlifted to Westchester Medical for emergency surgery. He spent a week in the Trauma ICU while his orthopedic team worked tirelessly to save his left leg. Over the course of his stay, Jason underwent six surgeries, but despite every effort, his leg was ultimately amputated.
This has been an incredibly difficult time for Jason and our family. Unfortunately, the driver who hit him only carried state minimum insurance, which doesn’t even begin to cover the extensive medical expenses he now faces. The bills for his emergency care, ongoing treatment, and rehabilitation have already far surpassed what the insurance will pay. The road to recovery is long, and Jason is now facing the challenge of adapting to life with a prosthesis. The funds raised will go directly toward helping Jason receive a permanent prosthesis, which will be essential for his mobility and independence moving forward. Your support will make a meaningful difference as Jason begins this new chapter and works toward regaining his strength and confidence.
