I am about to literally take a stab in the dark. I am representing USA in Blind Fencing in France. I need your help to fund FIE equipment and travel. I hopefully will be able to travel with my guide dog, Yodel.

I am Jason Brown. I am legally blind as a result of traumatic brain injuries. I discovered fencing about 8 years ago while looking for a sport to help my physical and mental health. I feel my best with physical activity. It took me some time to recover from the last TBI. When I was ready, I found fencing. Grateful for fencings and finding the next level, Blind Fencing. The increase in mobility, balance, and handling the surprise of people nearness to me are a few of the great benefits. Blind Fencing provides me a deeper sense of my abilities and community.

The goal is to expand opportunities for Blind Fencing in the United States. I want to increase opportunities for training and competitions for Blind Fencing.

My trip to France is a step along the journey. The ultimate goal, Blind Fencing as a Paralympic Sport.
