Support Jason's Heart Transplant Journey
Donation protected
This GoFundMe has been launched to provide support for Jason Price and his family.
Jason has been hospitalized since March 14th, 2024 after enduring severe heart failure over the better part of last year. He was in and out of M Health Fairview Southdale in Edina from the 14th-25th, and was moved to M Health Fairview University of MN in Minneapolis on March 25th, where he currently remains hospitalized. Jason suffered through a substantial amount of shocks from his implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD). It’s been working overtime to shock his heart out of dangerous arrhythmias, and saving his life. His ICD was implanted after his massive heart attack in 2012. Jason’s heart grows weaker with each shock and his best chance at survival is getting a heart transplant. To bridge the gap to transplant, Jason had a Left Ventricle Assist Device (LVAD; a mechanical, continuous flow pump that helps the left ventricle, the heart’s main pumping chamber, pump blood to the body) surgically implanted on Wednesday, April 10th. He is currently in the ICU after undergoing an ablation procedure on May 6th.
This fundraising effort is on behalf of Jason, to lift even a small burden of his medical and financial needs, as well as Jason's parents, Barb and Steve Price, and his sister, Jennifer Jiovanazzo, who have been providing round-the-clock support and are his health care representatives during this medical crisis and beyond. Jason also has two sons to help support, which has been challenging due his fragile condition, lengthy hospitalization and staggering medical bills. The Price family has endured many hardships during this incredibly difficult time and any help is greatly appreciated!
Jason, his parents, sister and sons are grateful for the care, concern and support from so many.
