Support Jason's Healing from Domestic Assault

Hi, my name is Jason Bennett, I’m 35 years old, and I call Denver, Colorado home. Until recently, I shared that home—and every dream attached to it—with my wife. Unfortunately, in late 2024 our marriage took a devastating turn. A domestic assault left me injured, traumatized, and suddenly on my own after my wife’s arrest and removal from the household.

Why I’m Asking for Help

One income, double the bills: Overnight I became solely responsible for rent, utilities, insurance, and everyday living costs that were once shared.

Mental-health leave: The assault triggered severe depression and panic attacks. I was forced to take time off to get professional therapy and medical care I absolutely needed but could hardly afford.

Residual debt: Medical copays, back rent, and moving expenses have piled up. I’m working full-time, but every paycheck disappears into past-due balances before I can cover basic needs or start fresh.

My Commitment

I’m dedicated to regaining stability and paying forward the kindness I receive. Once I’m back on my feet I plan to volunteer with local domestic-violence support organizations in Denver so others don’t face this journey alone.
