Support Jason's Fight Against Lymphoma

This past year has been the most challenging of our lives.

In February 2024, my husband Jason was diagnosed with Stage 3 B-cell lymphoma after months of back and side pain that persisted even after gallbladder surgery. Since then, our world has been consumed by hospital stays, treatments, and countless trips to UCSF.

Jason’s battle has been anything but straightforward. He’s faced blood clots in his lungs, a spinal cord tumor that temporarily paralyzed him in April, and undergone intense chemotherapy and radiation. In August, he braved a stem cell transplant. Just as we thought we were making progress, the cancer returned to his spinal cord.

Jason is a fighter, but the journey is far from over. He’s now receiving immunotherapy, emergency radiation, and preparing for CAR T-cell therapy at UCSF. This cutting-edge treatment offers hope but requires us to relocate to San Francisco for at least a month to monitor Jason’s recovery and manage potential side effects.

The hardest part? UCSF’s housing options don’t allow our children to stay. Michael and Caterina adore their dad, and the separation has been so hard on them. Keeping our family together is critical right now—to support Jason’s healing and to remind our kids of the strength we find in each other.
