Hi, my name is Erica and I’m Jason’s daughter. I created this fundraiser to support my dad as he recovers.
Jason Spencer has been cutting hair for over 30 years, and he’s not just any barber ,he’s a true old-school craftsman. His work has always been a calling, shaped by his mentor Don in Berkeley, who handed him his first broom at age 12. From that day on, Jason grew up in the barbershop, learning not just how to cut hair, but how to connect with people.
In a time when quick cuts are the norm, Jason offers something rare: a timeless, personal experience. He listens, remembers your story, and treats every cut like a piece of art.
After years of hard work, Jason finally opened his own barbershop a lifelong dream. But on October 4th, everything changed. He was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike, leaving him with chronic injuries to his body and hands - the very tools he’s relied on his entire career. He’s now unable to work, and his shop rent and daily costs are piling up. Doctors say his recovery could take weeks to a year.
This fundraiser will help Jason keep his shop and cover essential living expenses while he heals. He has always shown up for his community; now he needs that same support in return.
Any donation, share, or kind word makes a difference as he works to recover and return to the chair where he belongs. ✂️
