Supporting Jason & Nikki Through Their Fight
In 2022, I had the privilege of starting my journey at Snapsheet on the very same day as Jason Cihak. From day one, we became not just colleagues but close friends—bonding over Call of Duty matches and sharing moments of joy, including photos of his wife Nikki’s incredible homemade baked goods. Nikki later joined the Snapsheet family in early 2024 as part of our customer service team. Together, they share a loving home with their three fur babies: Freyja and Jolene, their beloved dogs (pictured), and Lilo, the mischievous cat who often makes surprise appearances in virtual meetings.
In December 2024, Jason was diagnosed with Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma (PCNSL). This means Brain Cancer in simple terms. Within a week of receiving this life-altering news, he began chemotherapy. However, after just one treatment, his kidneys struggled to process the medication. By the second and third rounds, they were failing entirely, making it impossible for him to continue chemotherapy.
Now, Jason is preparing to start a new oral medication—pending insurance approval—at an overwhelming cost of $600 per day. This medication works by blocking a protein called Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK), which helps abnormal B cells multiply. By stopping their growth, the treatment can help slow tumor progression.
Unfortunately, because his treatment began so late in the year, Jason and Nikki were forced to meet their $9,000 out-of-pocket maximum for 2024—only to start over with another $9,000 maximum for 2025. As of now, they are already facing $9,000 in medical bills, with more expenses accumulating daily.
In addition to mounting medical costs, both Jason and Nikki have been out of work, as Jason requires full-time care. This has placed an even greater financial strain on their household during an already unimaginable time.
This GoFundMe has been set up to help ease the financial burden of Jason’s medical expenses. Depending on the outcome of his medication approval, additional costs may continue to mount. Any support—whether a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser—would mean the world to Jason and Nikki during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. ❤️
