Jason, Maria, and Ava are beloved members of the Meeks Building Solutions family and dear friends to so many in our community. Recently, their lives were turned upside down when Ava was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident. According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, a dump truck failed to yield and turned into Ava’s path, resulting in serious injuries that required her to be airlifted to Reno. Ava is now in the Intensive Care Unit, recovering from major surgery to stabilize a broken pelvis with an 8-inch bar across her hips, as well as being treated for a brain bleed and a severe concussion. Her journey to healing will be long and challenging.

Since the accident, Jason and Maria have not left Ava’s side. They are taking turns staying with her around the clock, living out of hotels near the hospital, and traveling back and forth as needed. The financial burden is growing quickly—hotel stays, meals, fuel, and other unexpected expenses continue to add up. Both Jason and Maria have been unable to work during this time. While Jason has the support of Meeks Building Solutions and is using paid time off, Maria owns her own business, and every day away means lost income during an already incredibly difficult period.
