We're hosting a fundraiser for our friend Jason J, who is experiencing food insecurity while also dealing with significant health issues that prevent him from working. Jason is currently in a medical treatment program that lasts around 40 hours per week and is expected to take at least several more months to complete. While he is receiving some assistance from friends and family, he is significantly struggling financially and unable to afford basic necessities, including food. This is putting his health at risk, as he is unable to meet the prescribed nutritional recommendations of his medical team.


Jason has applied for government benefits as well as mutual aid programs and is waiting to hear back from several of them. However, he is in immediate need of funds to pay for basic living expenses from July 2026 onwards. Since government benefit programs can often take a long time to process, we are fundraising to cover his expenses for the rest of 2026 so that he can focus on his medical treatment without worrying about not being able to afford basic necessities.


Any amount you can share is much appreciated and will help Jason cover expenses like food, out-of-pocket medical expenses, laundry, cleaning supplies, and replacing extremely worn out winter clothing.
