Support Jason: Honoring Annie's Memory

My daughter, Annie, died on November 4, 2024. Her wonderful friend and caregiver, Jason Henson, was with her for much of the two years of her illness and was with me (her mom) at her side when she passed. Jason's caregiving was exceptional, lighthearted, attentive, thoughtful, loving, and generous. He made sure she had fun as often as possible (see above photo of them together in a park in San Francisco). He anticipated her needs and was always one step ahead, taking care of her comfort and well-being, often throughout the night when her pain kept her awake. Annie tried to pay him for his help, but she didn’t have much money. In the last few months, I began to pay him a bit too, but compared to what he would have made as a hired caregiver, it was nothing. He never asked for payment and gave himself unselfishly, month after month. Needless to say, he is not a wealthy person, not even close. Often, when someone dies, family members put out a statement saying, "In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to (favorite charity)."

I'd like to ask you all to consider honoring Annie’s memory by donating to Jason and his Musical Instrument Library (his passion). This GoFundMe site is to support Jason and thank him for all he gave.
