On November 2, 2025, Jason Hibbert’s life was irrevocably changed when he suffered a sudden stroke just hours after finishing his tour. Jason is a 17-year veteran FDNY firefighter who has dedicated his life to protecting the residents of this city. Now, he is facing the toughest battle of his life—and he needs our help. Jason is currently in rehabilitation, fighting tirelessly to recover from the effects of the stroke, including significant left-sided weakness that makes mobility challenging and exhausting. Throughout his career as a first responder, Jason has always been there for others in their darkest moments. Today, it’s our turn to be there for him. The road to recovery is long and demanding, and the financial burden is mounting quickly. Medical bills, intensive rehabilitation, and lost income from being unable to work are adding up. Compounding this hardship, Jason had begun a first-floor home renovation prior to his stroke—work that is now incomplete and must be transformed into a fully handicap-accessible living space so he can safely return home with his three daughters. These necessary modifications include installing wheelchair ramps, widening doorways, updating the bathroom, adapting the kitchen, and making other essential changes to support Jason’s independence, safety, and long-term recovery. What began as a home improvement project has now become a medical necessity for Jason and his family. We are raising funds to help cover these overwhelming expenses so Jason can focus entirely on healing and regaining his strength—without the added stress of financial strain. No donation is too small. Every contribution brings Jason one step closer to coming home safely. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this story means the world to us and helps spread the word. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean more than words can express. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and support.
