Help Jason Ellison and Family Continue the Fight Against Cancer
If you know Jason Ellison, you know him as more than just a familiar face — you know him as a kind, hardworking man who has spent years serving the Martin community through Walmart, greeting customers with a smile, helping families, and showing up day after day for others. Today, Jason and his family need that same community to show up for them. Over the past months, Jason has been battling a life-altering and frightening diagnosis: two aggressive forms of cancer, Salivary Gland Cancer and Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. What began as a medical concern quickly turned into an overwhelming reality that no family is ever prepared for. Jason has endured extensive, life-saving surgery, long hospital stays, constant appointments, and now faces an intense treatment plan to ensure the cancer is fully defeated.
Just recently, Jason had his tubes and surgical drains removed, along with the staples and stitches from his face. His doctors are pleased with how well he is healing — a blessing we are deeply grateful for — but his journey is far from over. The cancer was located in his jaw, and surgeons had to remove the seven-pound tumor completely. To reconstruct what was taken, tissue was harvested from Jason’s leg, making this surgery not only critical but incredibly invasive and physically taxing. While Jason focuses on healing, his family is carrying an enormous load. Managing medical care, travel, lodging, appointments, household responsibilities, emotional stress, and the weight of uncertainty is overwhelming.
This family has been fighting quietly and bravely, never asking for more than prayers — but the truth is, cancer is expensive, even with insurance. The costs add up quickly:
- Travel to and from Nashville
- Lodging and meals during treatment
- Medical bills not covered by insurance
- Loss of income during recovery
- Ongoing household expenses
Jason still has a long road ahead, but he is on the right path. We believe with all our hearts that God’s hand has been on him throughout this journey — guiding the surgeons, strengthening his body, and surrounding him with love.
With Jason’s permission, photos have been shared to show the reality of what he has endured. These images are not meant to shock, but to help people understand just how serious this was — and how miraculous it is that he is still here. This surgery gave Jason a future, and now we want to help give him peace of mind as he continues to heal.
If Jason has ever helped you, served you, worked alongside you, or simply made you smile at Walmart — this is a chance to help him now.
Any donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. And if you’re unable to give financially, prayers, shares, and kind words mean more than you know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, compassion, and support. The Ellison family feels it — and it is carrying them through this fight.
Together, let’s help Jason focus on healing and remind him that he is not walking this road alone.
