Support Jason Blount on his Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Jason’s recent medical issues started in January. An infection in his prosthetic hip triggered a brain bleed and stroke. He was sent to Lafayette where he spent weeks in the hospital to treat the brain bleed and the infection, which had spread throughout his body. Once stable, he was transferred to New Orleans for rehabilitation. After 8 weeks, he was able to come home to continue his rehab as an outpatient. However, the infection returned within a few weeks of his being home, and it settled in his heart. He was sent to Baylor St. Lukes in Houston where he underwent open heart surgery for a valve replacement and other repairs due to the damage from the infection. He currently remains in the critical ICU and after a few setbacks is now stable.

He has not been able to work since the start of this journey. Additionally, there are extensive medical bills plus travel and hotel expenses for Candace to be by his side. This has been an extremely difficult four months, and he still has a long road ahead of him.

Please help support Jason and Candace as they navigate through this very difficult time as we know they would do the same to help any of us.

We are anxious to get our buddy back home and healthy! Your support is greatly appreciated!
