My name is Mary Orr, my husband Roy Orr and I have created this Go Fund Me because a dear friend, colleague, and all-around great human and his family are facing a challenging time which has placed an enormous financial hardship on them, and we are reaching out to you in the hope that you might be able to help. Please consider supporting the Bittman Family. Jason Bittman started experiencing severe pain in multiple areas of his body over a period of several months; one pain would begin, and another would end. When Jason's back pain reoccurred, the pain was far worse than previous back pain. After a frustrating journey, the Bittman family was finally successful in locating the hospital that sought to find the source of his pain, several tests were ordered, and they received the diagnosis.

The Bone Marrow Biopsy was the most painful procedure that provided the final diagnosis. Unfortunately, the news that Jason and his wife received was far worse than what they were prepared for. Just days before Jason’s 51st birthday, he was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma – cancer - lesions throughout his body and bones. His case is severe and requires that he needs to be off work for period of 6-9 months. Jason is the sole provider for his family. Infusion treatment is 80 miles from their home – Jason has treatment 2 times per week.

Your generosity will directly impact Jason and his family's ability to cover transportation costs to receive treatments and expenses which would help this family during this difficult time.
