If you were to look up the phrase "perfect match" you'd likely see a photo of my dear friends, Jason and Abbey Loree. Unique, beautiful people, who, unfortunately and devastatingly, both have severe and life threatening medical conditions. Jason has been battling Polycystic Kidney Disease for a majority of his adult life and is expected to need a kidney transplant in the very near future. While Abbey is no stranger to health related issues, battling epilepsy all of her life, a new condition is now threatening her already fragile health with a recent diagnosis of stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver due to an overproduction of iron in her blood. Now Abbey, like her beloved husband, faces the reality of a potential organ transplant.
It is a highly unique and devastating reality my dear friends now face. They are both fantastic human beings, raising their beautiful daughter, Emmie Rose, in what seems like a nightmare of a reality. As Abbey's diagnosis has made her weak and ill, she has had to quit her job, leaving Jason the only income provider in the family. Between the Polycystic Kidney Disease and cirrhosis diagnosis, both Abbey and Jason are traveling between Akron and Cleveland for medical appointments almost weekly.
I have set up this Go Fund me as a way to help alleviate some of the financial burden the commuting and doctors appointments have had on my dear friends. Any and all help goes a long way, especially right now. While Abbey and Jason wait for updates on transplants, it is my sincere hope that you continue to keep the three of them in your prayers. Emmie's parents are my best friends. And she deserves to have her mommy and daddy around for many, many years to come.
Thank you!!!
