Support Jason after devastating flood loss

My name is Julie and my boyfriend Jason suffered a devastating loss of his home, its contents, and his vehicle, due to flooding caused by Tropical Storm Debby, in Ridgeville, South Carolina. He has spent the last year building a home for him and his four children, only to live there for two months before flood waters destroyed everything he has worked so hard for.

Along the Edisto River, flood waters reached a historical level, inundating the interior of his home with over a foot of water. He has spent the last week, with the help of some friends, using a fishing boat to travel back and forth from his home to try and salvage anything that he can. Due to the water damage and contamination risk of flood waters, only a small portion of his and his children’s belongings were salvageable.

Jason is a Citadel alumni and has spent his adult life helping others as a firefighter and serving in Iraq. He is a loving and devoted father, significant other, friend, and employee. He has always put the needs of his family and friends before his own and now he needs our help.

If you feel led to do so, please help me rally around him with prayer, love, and support. With your help we can take some of the burden and stress of losing everything he owns, off of him.

The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to pay for temporary housing for him and his children, to cover the cost of replacing the items that were destroyed and to pay for damages his home encountered that insurance will not cover.
