In memory of Jasmine Destiny Preng

Jasmine Destiny Preng was a bright, friendly 10-year-old who loved arts and crafts, enjoyed photography, and truly loved school. Jasmine was getting ready to start 5th grade at Fern Hill Elementary when life changed forever. In mid-August, Jasmine was involved in a tragic drowning accident at Lake Tapps. Jasmine was rescued from the water and rushed to Mary Bridge Children Hospital, where first responders and medical staff worked hard to save her. After several heartbreaking days in critical condition, Jasmine passed away on August 21, 2026, at 2:39pm, surrounded by family. Her parents, Preng Nuth and Bunren Tay, are now mourning an unimaginable loss while trying to navigate the pain of losing their daughter.

This fundraiser is for Jasmine’s parents, Preng Nuth and Bunren Tay, to help ease the financial burden left by this tragedy. The funds raised will go toward Jasmine’s funeral expenses and the hospital bills from her care. At a time when Preng Nuth and Bunren Tay should be able to focus on grieving and honoring Jasmine’s memory, they are also facing urgent expenses. The family is asking the community for support during this incredibly difficult time.
