Becoming an occupational therapist was inspired by my passion for helping people regain their independence and improve their quality of life. I’ve always been drawn to careers where I can make a direct and meaningful impact, and occupational therapy allows me to support individuals through some of the most challenging moments in their lives. Whether it’s helping someone recover after an injury, adapt to a disability, or build confidence in everyday tasks, I want to be a source of encouragement and care. As a 23-year-old student, I’ve worked hard to get to this point, balancing school, responsibilities, and the demands of preparing for my board exam. Passing my board exam is the final step toward officially becoming a licensed occupational therapist and beginning the career I’ve dreamed about for years. It will allow me to serve patients professionally, advocate for those who need support, and make a lasting difference in my community. This journey means so much to me because it’s not just about earning a title — it’s about being able to change lives, help people feel empowered, and give them hope for a better future.

Right now, the funds will help cover the cost of my board exam, licensing fees, and other expenses related to becoming a certified occupational therapist. These costs are one of the final barriers between me and officially starting my career in the field I’ve worked so hard for. As a student, balancing tuition, daily living expenses, and exam preparation has been financially overwhelming at times. Having support with these fees would relieve a huge amount of stress and allow me to focus fully on preparing for and passing my board exam. It would also help me move forward more quickly into applying for jobs and beginning to work with patients in need of occupational therapy services.
