Help Jasmine access gender affirming surgery
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Jasmine, and I’m a 25-year-old trans woman living in Portland, Oregon. I’ve been transitioning for the past three years, though I suspected I was trans for a few years before that. This journey has brought me closer to living as my full, authentic self—but there’s one final, vital step I need your help to reach: bottom surgery.
Gender-affirming surgery is not a luxury. It’s a critical part of my healthcare and mental well-being. The dysphoria I experience is exhausting and painful, and this surgery would be life-changing. It would allow me to feel truly at home in my body—for the first time.
While I’m incredibly fortunate that my insurance will cover a portion of the procedure, it doesn’t come close to covering everything. Between surgical costs, travel, lodging, and a month-long recovery stay in the city where I’ll be getting the operation, I’m looking at expenses I can’t afford on my own.
That’s why I’m asking for help raising $15,000 to cover:
- Surgery-related costs not covered by insurance
- Post-op lodging and recovery expenses
- Travel to and from the surgical center
- Any time I’ll need to take off work to heal
If we raise more than I need, any extra funds will be donated to help others access gender-affirming care. Community has been such a vital part of my journey, and I want to pay that love forward however I can.
If you’re able to contribute—no matter how small—or even just share this page, I would be so grateful. Your support will help me live more freely and comfortably in my own skin.
Thank you for seeing me and supporting trans lives.
With love and gratitude,
Jasmine
