On July 7, 2024, Jasmine woke up in a world of hurt. She had pain in her chest, a broken blood vessel in her eye, and a temperature above 104. Ultimately, she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. She is now in the second round of chemotherapy.

Because it takes a village, and the waters are at eye level already, we are seeking your help with finances. Our health insurance covers most medical-related expenses, and thank God for that because fighting this aggressive type of leukemia can get up to $180,000+, but specific illnesses are not always covered. We are finding that those miscellaneous expenses are piling up with our living expenses and I cannot work while caregiving for Jasmine and caring for Amius and Nova.
