It is with immense sorrow that I write this.

Jasmine has been one of my best friends since we met in first grade. I have seen her face so many obstacles in life: surviving a severe burn at the age of 9, having a cadaver bone inserted into her leg due to a cyst, and so many more challenges no young girl should have to face. Jasmine was raised by a single mom, Mandy, and she herself is now a single mother to two beautiful children, Sophia (6) and Lincoln (3).

Life has not always been easy for her, but she still pressed forward, and did so with a great sense of humor.

Jasmine recently received life altering news. She was diagnosed with two forms of breast cancer, her left breast at stage 2 and her right breast at stage 4. The cancer has spread from her breasts to her bones and brain due to a mutation in her BRCA2 gene, which is a gene that suppresses tumors, and her doctor has deemed her cancer incurable. She had her first round of chemotherapy and a blood transfusion on April 29th to slow the progression. She also got a biopsy done of the tumor on her brain and they inserted her portacath that day. Her second round will be on May 21st, 6 days before her 29th birthday. Due to the severity of the cancer, as her doctor has said this is the worst case he has seen in years, we unfortunately do not know how long she will be around to see her beautiful babies grow up. This go fund me is to help ease the burden that has already so heavily affected Jasmine, as well as her mother, who faces health challenges of her own. I also plan to set up savings accounts for Sophia and Lincoln. I want to make sure that Jasmine and her family do not have to worry about finances and can focus on spending their time together.
