On May 17, 2026, Jasmine suffered life-threatening injuries after a large tree limb fell and struck her. With the quick response of a friend, emergency services, and the expertise of surgeons at UC Davis Medical Center, Jasmine survived and has been stabilized. She is currently healing from a severe spinal cord injury, fractured vertebrae and broken and bruised ribs. Her lower body is currently paralyzed, but some pins-and-needles-type sensation is beginning to return to her legs and feet. The road ahead will be long as she moves through the stages of recovery, physical therapy, and adjusts to a new normal.
This fund will help her and her dad afford her emergency care, rehabilitation, and other costs associated with recovery, including a larger and accessible vehicle, mobility aids, equipment, new housing, transportation, etc.
This GoFundMe page was organized and will continue to be updated by her close friend Lauren Kelleher. The funds raised from the page will be managed by her dad, Andy Mayer.
