Support Jasmine Thomas: A Brave Hospice Worker Recovering from a Traumatic Assault
We are raising funds on behalf of Jasmine Thomas, a devoted hospice worker and loving mother of three, who recently endured a horrific and unprovoked assault that has turned her world upside down.
While arriving at a client’s home—doing the compassionate work she’s known for—Jasmine was viciously attacked in the driveway by a complete stranger. She was struck in the face and suffered additional trauma as parts of her body were slammed in a car door. Since the assault, Jasmine has been in emotional and physical distress. When I spoke with her, she sobbed through the entire conversation—overwhelmed by fear, anxiety, and the weight of her responsibilities.
She is now living in constant fear for her life, terrified that she won’t be able to return home safely to her children. She is also terrified that she and/or her children could be attacked again while out in public. Despite being prescribed medication, she struggles daily with eating, sleeping, and coping with the overwhelming trauma. Yet, like so many mothers, Jasmine continues to push herself to return to work—putting her own fear aside—because her children depend on her.
This GoFundMe has been created to give Jasmine some breathing room and support as she begins the long journey of healing. Your donation will help cover rent, utilities, food, and basic necessities for her and her three children.
Let’s rally around this woman who has spent her life caring for others in their most vulnerable moments. Please donate what you can and share this campaign with your friends and networks. Jasmine deserves to feel safe, supported, and reminded that she is not alone.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity.
