Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out to ask for support for our brother Jarrod, who recently suffered a devastating injury while helping a friend with work.
Jarrod sustained a significant hematoma between his T3 and T4 vertebrae in his spine. What started as debilitating pain has now left him with no feeling and minimal movement in his legs. Right now, it’s still uncertain whether he’ll regain movement, when (or if) he’ll be able to return to work, and what the future will look like for him.
Jarrod is not only a loyal friend, brother, uncle and son, but also a devoted husband to Kaysie and an incredible dad to their beautiful two-year-old boy, Mav. This unexpected tragedy has turned their world upside down. Instead of focusing on family life and work, Jarrod is facing hospitals, specialists, and the daunting and unknown journey of recovery.
Jarrod has already undergone emergency spinal surgery, which hasn’t provided the results his surgeons were hoping for. Specialised treatment in Sydney is now being discussed, and with it will come significant costs—on top of everyday living expenses and the uncertainty around work. This fundraiser is here to help ease the pressure on Jarrod and his family so they can focus on what truly matters: his recovery and being together through this tough time.
Funds raised will go directly towards:
• Medical and specialist treatment costs
• Travel and accommodation in Sydney for Jarrod and Kaysie while accessing specialist care
• Ongoing rehabilitation and equipment Jarrod may need for mobility and independence
• Everyday living expenses to support Kaysie and little Mav while Jarrod is unable to work
Jarrod is the one who shows up for others—whether it’s lending a hand, having a laugh, or just being there when you need him. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference for Jarrod, Kaysie, and Mav. If you’re not in a position to donate, even sharing this page helps us spread the word and rally more support around them.
Thank you so much for your generosity, kindness, and love during this incredibly difficult time.
