On the night of June 15, 2025, Jarrett Wood and Haille Metzgar had a huge piece of their lives taken from them. The main thing in the world that they loved the most. The thing that brought them together and made them fall in love. The thing that made them feel at peace was taken against their will. Their Dodge Challenger R/T was ripped from their home without any warning. All of the time, money, care, and everything else that they had put into this car is now gone. Dealing with insurance headaches, wedding plans being changed, home arrangements being upended. Who knew a car theft could take such a toll on a couple's life?
Haille and Jarrett met in 2023 through TikTok. Jarrett had been posting content of his Challenger onto his TikTok that Haille had started to notice. Then one random Saturday, Jarrett sent her a message. And the rest was history. Haille got to see the Challenger in person and she was never the same. She absolutely loved it. The couple then started to build the car up as a team. New hoods, headers, etc. They had so many plans for this car alongside building out their future. In fact, Haille wanted to be driven down the aisle at their wedding in this car. But it all came crashing down.
After the car was stolen, everything started to snowball. Insurance was no help, police weren't much help in the case either, and that left Jarrett and Haille on their own during this whole situation. They received threats from the individuals who stole the car. Personal attacks, "I know where you live" texts, and taunting all came from the perpetrators. It forced the couple to leave their place of living due to safety concerns. And they are now currently couch surfing and laying low while the situation fizzles out.
But there is a possible resolution to their situation. The couple has the chance to have the car returned to them. Last month, the car ran at the local Copart Salvage Auto Auction in Walton, KY. The car was bought by Northern Kentucky Auto Sales, and a sales manager, Richard Cliff, reached out to the couple to find out some information about the car. Little did he know, there was a very long and grueling story behind this Challenger. A story that the company fell in love with. A story that they loved so much, that they invited Jarrett and Haille to come and talk about it. There will be a full-length video coming out on the NKY Auto YouTube Channel on 9/5/2025. The couple sat down for a 1-hour interview giving every detail of the theft of their Challenger, and I would really encourage you to watch the video when it releases. I will update this page once the video is published, but for now, I'll leave a link to the NKY Auto YouTube channel.
Thank you for reading through Jarrett and Haille's story and I hope it's one that gets your attention on just how serious car thefts can be. How it can seriously change someone's life drastically. If you are wondering who I am, I am the Videographer, Graphic Designer, and Video Editor for Northern Kentucky Auto Sales. Please feel free to contact me for any further information on the matter.
Thank you again.
