Help Me Expand My Mobile Swim School and Make Water Safety Accessible to All
Hi, my name is JaRon Williams. I’m a 29-year-old from the East Coast, now living in Sacramento, California. I’m reaching out to ask for your support as I work to grow my mobile swim school into a full-time business.
In 2021, I started my mobile swim school out of a deep passion for teaching and promoting water safety. Over the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching swim lessons to children as young as two months old, adults of all skill levels, and even providing adaptive lessons for swimmers with disabilities. Recently, I’ve begun re-teaching myself to instruct in Spanish and exploring opportunities to serve homeschool families, ensuring my lessons are accessible to as many people as possible. I'm also a lifeguard and CPR/first aid instructor. There is currently a national shortage in lifeguards and lifeguard instructors. Being able to provide this service more often can help bring back a necessary job to local communities as well.
While I’ve been running my swim school seasonally, I’ve dreamt of making it a full-time business. This summer, for the first time, that dream feels within reach. However, to take the next step, I need help covering the costs of necessary credentials, legal documents, and other expenses that exceed my current resources. Funds will be used to purchase necessary commercial general liability insurance And the upkeep of all other credentials and equipment necessary to continue my job
Although I work full-time at another job, it pays less than what I earn teaching swim lessons, and most of my income goes toward basic living expenses. Despite my commitment to maintaining my credentials, liability insurance, and business license, the additional expenses required to scale my business remain out of reach.
This is where I need your help. By contributing, you’ll be supporting my passion for water safety and empowering me to make a lasting impact in the community. Your generosity will help me:
Expand my services to operate year-round.
Provide lessons to vulnerable and underserved populations.
Ensure every family has access to safe and quality swim lessons.
Every donation, big or small, brings me closer to financial freedom and the ability to dedicate myself fully to this life-saving work. Thank you for believing in my vision and helping me make a difference.
Let’s create safer communities, one swimmer at a time.
With gratitude,
JaRon Williams
