Support Jarit's Recovery After Hit & Run

Hello, my name is Susan, and I am creating this GoFundMe page on behalf of my friend and co-worker, Jarit. On Tuesday, August 6th at approximately 8:45pm, Jarit was involved in a horrific hit & run accident while riding his motorcycle close to his home here in Billings, MT.

A truck, not paying attention while driving, ploughed into the back of Jarit’s motorcycle. At this point, the driver fled, not even stopping to see how Jarit was doing or even if he was still alive. It is a miracle that Jarit is still with us, but the doctor at Billings Clinic said that his ankle was literally “pulled apart.” He had emergency surgery on Tuesday evening to temporarily stabilize his ankle. As you can see from the pictures, Jarit has a long road to recovery and he must endure yet another surgery in a few days to put titanium rods into his leg, which is a permanent solution.

Right now, what Jarit needs most is peace of mind as he begins his journey of recovery and healing. Jarit is already facing mounting medical bills as unfortunately; he has no medical insurance.

Jarit is also a newlywed, his wife, Kierra will also have to take days off from a job that she has just started in order to help Jarit and be by his side during this challenging time, they will need gas money to and from the hospital, raised funds will go primarily to cover rent, medical bills, utilities & groceries etc. All of us where Jarit works will help as much as we can, but we are trying to minimize the financial hardships so that Jarit and Kierra can concentrate on Jarit’s recovery.

Jarit is a good person. He has not always been dealt the easiest of circumstances but through his life he has always managed to keep smiling and see the absolute best in others.

Through this GoFundMe, we (Jarit’s co-workers) are hoping to show Jarit that not only is he cared for, but he is right to see the good in the people around him.
