In the midst of raising a young family, Jared accomplished something remarkable — graduating with his Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2024. Alongside Shanda, he co-owns The Harbor, a salon based in Los Angeles, and supports her newest business venture — an email marketing agency she built from the ground up. Their work is entirely self-produced and self-managed, a true labor of love and grit.

Now, cancer treatment demands their full energy, time, and presence. Shanda’s deepest desire is to fully step into the role of caring for Jared and their children during this critical season — and we want to help make that possible.

Traditional chemotherapy would not offer a cure for Jared’s type of cancer, and would only have served as a palliative measure with harsh side effects.
