My name is Jared Baker, and I am reaching out with a story of love, commitment, and the unwavering bond I share with my incredible wife, Renata Baker. She is my partner, my confidant, and the person who, every single day, chooses me. It's in the light of her unwavering love that I find myself saying, without hesitation, that I owe her everything. Now, it's my turn to choose her in an even more profound way.

Renata was diagnosed with lupus nephritis, an unpredictable and challenging condition that has put her health and our life plans on hold. Despite the trials and the uncertainties that this diagnosis brought into our lives, we've faced each day with hope and courage. However, the journey has taken an unexpected turn, leading us to a crossroad that requires more than just emotional strength-it demands a piece of me, quite literally.

On June 26th, 2024, I will be donating one of my kidneys to Renata. This isn't just a medical procedure; it's a pledge of shared life and an act of love that embodies the vows we made to each other. We are ready to embark on this path so that together, we can embrace the future that awaits us, filled with dreams, adventures, and the simple joy of everyday moments.

The road to recovery will be a challenging one. Both of us will need to take time off work to heal, with an expected recovery period of 6-8 weeks. During this time, our ability to support ourselves financially will be limited, and we are humbly reaching out for your support. Any contribution you can make will ease the burden of medical bills, living expenses, and the ancillary costs associated with this life-saving surgery.

We hold onto the belief that this kidney transplant will not only sustain Renata's health but also propel us into the next chapter of our story, a chapter we are eager and grateful to write, and we trust, with faith unwavering, that He is not finished with our story yet.
