Support Jared and Vanessa's Farm Recovery

On March 3rd, a devastating fire swept through the Siverling Centennial Farm (SCF) in Bloomer, Wisconsin, destroying the barn, the equipment inside, and adjoining sheds. Fortunately, farm owners Jared Siverling, a decorated combat Army veteran, and his wife Vanessa Klemish are safe, as are the majority of their animals, including all the beef and adult pigs.

SCF, a 320-acre USDA-certified organic farm, has been in the Siverling family since 1914 and is a staple in the community, providing fresh, locally grown produce and meat to families and animals. The farm's commitment to organic practices, non-GMO seeds, and reduced tillage ensures the land is protected and healthy food is produced. After serving his country with honor and distinction, Jared turned to farming as a way to continue serving his community and providing for his family. His military background and strong work ethic have been instrumental in building SCF into the thriving farm it is today.

The fire, which occurred in the early morning hours, resulted in the loss of:

The barn and all equipment

Adjoining sheds, including the slaughter shed and holding shed

Four small pigs

Several barn cats

Significant damage to the new butcher shop, including a partially burnt roof and wall, and smoke damage throughout

Although the butcher equipment and track system were spared, it can only be assumed the farm with face financial burdens to rebuild and recover.

Jared and Vanessa are the kind of people who always put others before themselves. They are the first to lend a helping hand, whether asked to or not, and have consistently demonstrated their commitment to their community through their hard work and generosity. However, they are not the type to ask for help, even in their time of need.
