Jared and I have been trying for a baby for 4 and a half years now, unsuccessfully. We have reached a point in our journey where our only options are to try IVF or to give up. This is really difficult for us as we’ve not talked to many people about my infertility struggles. I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Jared and I have both undergone a lot of individual testing. The hard part for us is there is no real answer as to why we cannot conceive. I have gone through laparoscopic surgery to check for endometriosis, we have spent thousands and thousands already on fertility treatments, medicated cycles, iui etc. We were successful in July 2022 however that was considered a chemical pregnancy and I miscarried.

Our only next option is IVF which is not covered at all by either of our insurance. One cycle costs between $10,000 and $15,000 and with how much we have already invested in this journey, it’s a stretch.

Unexplained infertility however has the highest success rate of IVF and that gives us hope. We have been silently fighting this battle and it has taken a huge toll on me mentally and physically.

It is hard for me to ask for help or handouts and it is especially hard for me to admit that my body is failing at the only thing it was meant to do. I appreciate you reading our story and helping if you can, if you can’t I would appreciate all the prayers and positive vibes you can send.
