On November 23, 2025, Jared Abney was involved in a motorcycle accident where he could not react quickly enough, being cut off by a single vehicle.

He suffered injuries that included shattered bone and shoulder in his left arm, shattered right shoulder bones, cracked vertebrae in his back, and cracked ribs. His recovery will be long, painful, and expensive. Between the surgeries, rehabilitation, and time off work, the financial burden is overwhelming. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward his medical expenses, recovery care, and helping him get back on his feet — literally and figuratively.

Jared, his brothers, and family all have servant hearts and don’t hesitate to offer help in others' time of need. When I had a devastating loss from a garage/home fire the night after Thanksgiving several years ago, the first person to show up that night and offer his vehicle for use, as all of ours were destroyed, was a member of the Abney family. The next morning, Abney family members were there to not only help with cleanup but to volunteer time and money of their own to help rebuild our garage and repair the damage to the house. In the years since, Jared and his family have shown up many times to not only help my family but other families in the community in different times of need.
