In August 2024, I was diagnosed with marginal zone B cell lymphoma, an incurable cancer that has changed every aspect of my life. On top of this, I also struggle daily with severe rheumatoid arthritis, which makes even simple tasks difficult. The combination of these conditions has made it hard for me to keep up with my medical needs and maintain my independence at home. I live with pain every day and often have very little energy, which makes everything feel like an uphill battle.

I am a mom of two daughters, and one of them still lives with me. Their support means everything, but it’s still a daily challenge. I am raising funds to help cover the costs of PET scans and treatments that my insurance keeps denying. These tests and therapies are essential for monitoring my cancer and managing my symptoms, but the financial burden is overwhelming. I also need support for things at home that make daily life a little easier, like prepared meals and help navigating my two-story apartment, which has become a real challenge. Getting to appointments is another hurdle—sometimes my daughter drives me, and other times I rely on a friend who I help with gas money since I can no longer drive myself.
