With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved friend Jo passed away a few days ago after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jo was deeply loved by so many. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, a cherished daughter, and a loyal friend. She also served her community as a high school principal, where she made a lasting impact on countless students, families, and colleagues through her compassion, leadership, and care for others. Jo had a special love for animals, especially her sweet boy Jaegar, who brought her so much comfort and joy.

We originally created this GoFundMe to support Jo’s daughter, allowing her the financial flexibility to take time off work to care for her mom. Since Jo’s passing, the need has changed, but it has not gone away. We are now raising funds to help cover funeral expenses and to support her daughter as she takes the necessary time away from work to grieve, make arrangements, and navigate this incredibly difficult moment.
