My name is Tina Blazek, and I’m reaching out to share a very difficult chapter in my wife Janine Blazek’s life — and in mine as well. On March 12, 2026, Janine was diagnosed with an invasive Stage 3 form of ductal carcinoma that has metastasized and is involving at least one of her lymph nodes. It was a devastating and unexpected diagnosis that has forced us to put life on hold as we prepare for what will be the fight of her life.

For those who know Janine, you know what a truly special person she is. She is loving, caring, and deeply compassionate — an incredible wife, sister, daughter, and friend to so many. Janine has a bright, vivacious spirit and a genuine love for life. She is always singing, laughing, cracking jokes, and bringing light and warmth to everyone around her. She is one of the most kindhearted people you could ever meet.

The road ahead will be long and difficult. Janine’s treatment will include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and participation in clinical trials. While nothing will ever diminish our determination to fight for Janine’s life, the financial realities of cancer are overwhelming. High insurance deductibles, specialized treatments, medications, and the many costs associated with ongoing care are already mounting, alongside everyday living expenses.
