Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to read this, Janie is our mom. She has an infectious smile and her presence will light up the room. She is the best mom, a loving grandmother, a daughter, a sister and a dear wife to her husband, Joe, amongst so much more to her family and friends. For those of you who know her, you know this past year has been difficult to say the least. For those who don't, June 11, 2023 was a typical day until it wasn't, that evening our mom suffered a brain aneurism and stroke. After several surgeries, a few set backs and many days in the ICU, we are blessed she is still here with us. Her nurses and Dr's said multiple times she is a walking miracle. We would also like to add a huge THANK YOU to our family and friends for their many forms of support during that time. We are forever in your debt. She has been on the road to recovery and has been optimistic about getting back to work and a sense of normalcy.

Recently, our mom had some trouble when eating, some unusual pain that was concerning. While she is tiny, but mighty, she was unintentionally losing weight she can't afford to lose. On March 1, 2024 during what should have been a routine procedure, we received some news we never could have imagined and on March 5th it was confirmed. Our mom has been diagnosed with esophageal cancer. She has since had a G-port inserted into her stomach to bring nutrition directly to her and provide her with much needed nutrients to keep up her strength while she prepares for this battle. She has always been a fighter and this will be no different. The road she is about to travel is rough, however we know she will get through it. Our faith is strong and our support system is big.

As she navigates this unforeseen journey, we are asking for help through this GoFundMe campaign, in hopes to raise funds to cover:

• Medical expenses: including medications and treatment-related costs.

• Additional therapy: to help manage the side effects and improve her overall well-being.

• Groceries and other necessities: your contribution will ensure that we can help cover basic living necessities.

Your support will ease the financial burden and provide our mom, Janie with enormous strength and less stress during her treatment.
