Support Janie's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Melissa Solis.

I'm starting this GoFundMe for my sister, Janie, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She is not just my sister but also an incredible mother of 4.

2025 has been a challenging year to say the least, with the recent death of Rigoberto Badillo, her husband, and coming to terms with a new reality; this new diagnosis has been yet another life-altering moment for Janie and the rest of our family.

We are placing our faith in God for complete healing in Janie, trusting Him every step of the way. Still, the financial burden that comes with fighting cancer is heavy. Even with insurance, the costs are overwhelming and have started to pile up. Ex: Imaging, genetic testing, copays, upcoming surgeries, chemotherapy, hospital admittance, time off from work for recovery, etc.

She is approaching this with grace and courage, but the reality is there is no “pause” on cancer—treatment is continuous, expenses pile up, and everyday life still demands rent, groceries, utilities, and more.

We're humbly asking for help, whether through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this campaign, to help lift some of that weight so that Janie can focus entirely on healing, and we can continue to be strong for her.
