Our mom, Janice was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia after an ER visit on Christmas Eve. She was immediately transferred to Atlanta where she is currently undergoing intensive treatments and will be in total isolation for 4-6 weeks. As soon as her system builds back up, she will be able to return home and we will see what the next steps will be. This will be a long journey and require many tests, medical visits, travel, hospitalization, etc.

Everyone who knows Mom knows that she’s basically an angel on earth & the most loving, giving person I know (along with my dad). She is the full-time caretaker to her mother who requires constant care on top of being an amazing wife, mom, and grandmother, and loving/taking care of anyone who crosses her path. Dad is having to take off time from work to make sure everything is take care of and, as everyone knows, medical care is not cheap not even counting the outside expenses that come along that quickly add up. He will likely be having to take more time off in the future. They would never even mention this or ask for a penny, but I know that this would be a TREMENDOUS help during this time. Donations will go towards medical care, transportation/travel, and personal expenses incurred. The goal reflects current needs & will increase as bills come in & needs arise.
