Support Jangho's "A Thousand Cranes" Festival Journey!
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Jangho Yun, and I recently completed my senior thesis film A Thousand Cranes. I'm reaching out to ask for your support as we begin submitting the film to festivals around the world!
A Thousand Cranes tells the story of a grieving father who becomes consumed with folding paper cranes in hopes of bringing back his late daughter. One day, his wish seems to come true — she reappears in his life as a vivid hallucination. As he spends time with her, the line between memory and reality begins to blur, and he’s ultimately forced to confront the weight of his grief and what it means to truly let go.
This story was inspired by the novel Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, as well as my childhood memories of folding paper cranes with my grandmother and sister. It’s a personal project that came to life thanks to the passion and talent of a remarkable cast and crew, and I’m so very proud of what we’ve created together.
All funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly toward covering festival application fees. Every contribution — no matter the size — truly helps, but please only donate if you’re in a stable financial position.
Thank you so much for reading and for considering supporting A Thousand Cranes on its festival journey!
