Hey everyone! Thank you for stopping by to hear the story of Janet King. I want to start by saying thank you to anybody who helps out, reaches out, or simply shares this.
Janet has had issues with her heart for many years now. It all began in 2006 after having multiple heart attacks. She was given a pacemaker and a defibrillator to help her heart function like it needed. However, her heart function has continued to decrease throughout the years. In July of 2022, Janet underwent major heart surgery to have an LVAD put into her chest. This device helps the left ventricle of her heart pump blood. Throughout all of this, she has spent a tremendous amount of time in the hospital and has been placed on many different types of medication.
Recently, after having signs of sickness, Janet was checked into the hospital for an infection. Due to the fact she has the LVAD, it is impossible for her to completely get rid of the infection. The only way to get the infection out of her body is for her to get a heart transplant. For this reason, she was put on the level 3 heart transplant list. She has gone through hours of testing in order to get everything in line for her to proceed with a heart transplant. Part of the steps is making sure she is financially secure for this procedure. Heart transplants cost thousands of dollars, then you have rehab and multiple checkups throughout a week lasting for months to years. She will be on anti-rejection medicine for the rest of her life.
Any donations given will go towards medication, doctor visits and copays, and help her get through this without worrying about paying for the medications she will need. I again would like to thank everyone.
