My name is Janet Emerling, and on Friday, May 15th, I will be undergoing knee replacement surgery. While I am hopeful that this procedure will greatly improve my quality of life, it also comes with a challenging recovery period. As a hairstylist, my work is entirely hands-on. Unfortunately, that means if I’m not physically able to work, I don’t have an income. My doctor has advised that I will need at least six weeks off to properly heal, which puts me in a difficult financial position.

I am reaching out during this time to ask for support with covering my essential living expenses while I recover. This includes things like rent, utilities, and basic daily needs as I focus on healing and getting back on my feet. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would truly mean so much to me.
